Year: 1974 Cobalt O/MC
My father purchased this watercraft straight from the factory in 1974 and it provided summer fun for a few decades. It was a powerful boat, easily pulling up seven skiers at once. Unfortunately, life and health took its toll, so it sat in the barn for over ten years before being driven again. My husband and I took ownership in 2014 and decided that it was just too much for us to invest in at the time, so it again became a memory stored away. In 2019, my dad decided that he wanted to do a total restoration. He made up his mind that he was going to get the Cobalt back on the lake so my Mom could ski again, after all, she’s only 83. So, he totally gutted the boat, bought a new engine and had it installed, bought a new Garmin mapping system and all new instruments, built a new instrument panel, ordered new parts for things we’re still trying to figure out, bought marine grade board to replace the decking/floors, bought trim to replace the rubber, etc…., and all the original parts are still with the boat. My dad passed away a few months ago, so my mom thought this would be the perfect project ready for that special person to come along and make it come together. The engine is a Blueprint Marine GM 383 C.I.D. 405 HP Stroker Dressed Long Block with Cast Components (invoice is pictured). I realize the Cobalt isn’t worth the asking price, but the engine, mapping system, and other parts are driving the price. Feel free to call with any questions.
