Greetings! I am the founder of MyCobalt.net. In 2005, I bought a Cobalt 343 in Naples, Florida. For several years, we enjoyed the warmth of the Gulf of Mexico, traveling frequently to Key West and the Dry Tortugas in our Cobalt 343. Nothing compares to the quality and beauty of a Cobalt Boat.
Today, MyCobalt.net is just a hobby. My day job is running www.formsonfire.com. Hop over there and give our product a try!
Looks good Dad! 🙂
Monty,
I know the feeling. August 5, 2009 we had a fire at our marina and burnt my 2007 263 with 42 hours on her. Replaced her with a 2002 293 delivered October 19, 2009. Wasn’t able to put her in the water until April 16, 2010. It is worth the wait! We love our 293! We live on Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas, enjoy your new boating adventure!
Jim
Thanks for your message Jim,
That’s a real shame about your 263 but you seem to have recovered. We are really looking forward to our 293 but I am going to have to spend some quality time with my 28″ snowblower first.
Monty

Hello;
We currently have a 272 (502 Mag and Bravo 3) and are looking to get into something with a some overnighting abilities. The 293 caught our eye, but I worry, how does it perform?
My questions:
1) What is the best engine package … the 502 Mag or a pair of twins?)
2) Is a set of 5.0 L twins adequete for this boat?
3) Is the sleeping space upfront suitable for 2 adults?
4) Is the sleeping space on the fold-down dinette in the cockpit suitable for a couple of kids (boys currently aged 10 & 12)?
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
Take care;
David
