Hi

We are looking for some gel coat for a cobalt 232 scarlet red here in newport beach CA.  CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I MIGHT GET SOME FROM?

I am looking at buying my first cobalt. It is a 1991 255. the only problem that has me worried is that around the ski storage you can feel the floor move! how big a problem is this or is it a common problem.

Looking to buy the large bimini top for a 2002 226′, prefer black or gray, anyone for sale?

From Tom White:

I’m looking at used SD’s and would love to know why Cobalt discontinued them. What do you like most about the SD versus the regular 240s? Boat looks very nice, by the way. Any advice for me as I start searching? Thanks!

      Kendall,

      I emailed Tom about my ’03 240SD and told him that I was actually a field engineer working for the construction company that was remodeling and adding on to their plant in ’03 when these boats were rolling off the floor and dreamed about owning one someday. I’ve spoke with Pac St. Claire a few times also. I think what happened with the “pickle-fork” design is that the lead engineer that worked for Cobalt was hired by Mastercraft after ’04 and he took his design with him. I talked to a rep. for Mastercraft at the spring boat show here in Texas and he confirmed that they hired him back then. Anyhow, I love the boat due to it’s front boarding capabilities and larger bow legroom. I am the 2nd owner of the boat and it was kept immaculate. I would really love to have captain’s call and perfect pass installed on it some day, but for now, she’s my “baby”! Take care and happy boating.

    Martin – re Gelcoat for 232 scarlet red Cobalt:

    If you go to the http://www.cobaltboats.com web site, and look under Support/Knowledge Base, there is an entry for obtaining gelcoat for Cobalt boats >>> this is what it says:

    How can I obtain gelcoat to match the color of my Cobalt?
    A: Gelcoat or gelcoat patch kits are available for Cobalts built from 1973 � present from GCP, 1109 NW 52nd, Seattle, Washington, 98107, 206-781-1162.

    I’m sure if you contact Cobalt directly you could get additional information if needed.

    I need a windshield for a 1991 Cobalt Condurre. It has a cuddy cabin and a walk through windshied. Last winters snow in OK caused the dock to collapse on the boat and ruined the windshield. Any suggestions. Todd [email protected]

    I have a 1996 colbalt volvo penta engine and I’m having trouble with the motor going down. Im not sure where the tilt and trim relay or if its is wiring or solenoid. someone said that I do not have a solenoid…
