With Hurricane Gustav nearing the Gulf Coast, it reminded me that as boaters, we need to know our flags. While the hurricane signal flag is quite obvious, more subtle flags, such as the Small-craft advisory and gale warning, are not. Here are a few that you will, hopefully, recognize.
