I have a great 1979 Cobalt 19 ft deep V. It runs perfect for about an hour and then starts to stall and soon after that it won’t turn over. If I take the boat out the next day it runs great for about an hour and the whole process starts over again. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this

Most probable heat. That is, it takes about an hour for the critical component to reach temperature where it fails. Simple way to go would be to save the diagnostic cost and upgrade to an electronic ignition. Your life will be much easier afterward and you’ll have better combustion efficiency he parts run about $300 if you shop around on the net.

Parts- I purchased a 1977 Cobalt Bow Rider ski boat as a restoration project because it’s such a classic and the hull was in such great shape, plus it had the hunter green stripe I like so well; but I longer have time to do this project and my 1978 BR is now running so well. So I’ve decided to part it out and sell the boat trailer with it. It came equipped with the OMC out-drive w/ Ford 351 Windsor. Please call and we can discuss a price for any parts you may need. 865 599-4141 or email me at cobaltfan@earthlink.net
